2017 should start with a little inspiration n’est-ce-pas?
We decided to check out the Chihuly exhibit at the ROM which has been in Toronto for awhile now. We were not disappointed. If you haven’t been yet, it is just so much magic. (And don’t believe everything you read, there’s nothing Trump’esque about this exhibit. Sue a guy because he found a way to turn his art into revenue. Tsk, tsk, James Adams.)
If anything, I would say that the lighting is harsh in places where I’d like it not to be. Stark, almost.
In the gallery below you’ll see shots of the boats, the garden, red reeds on birch, the Persian ceiling, Jerusalem jugs, neon tumbleweed and more. The pictures will not do the experience credit. The sheer detail of every piece is breathtaking.
I fell in love with red reeds on birch, the Persian ceiling, the boats and the simple traditional bowls at the end of the exhibit but, I don’t know, all of it. See for yourself. It’s only on until January 8th though so get in quick. Enjoy!
